Yogurtland Selects Winners for My Masterpiece Contest
(IRVINE, CA) Dec. 18, 2012 – Yogurtland today announces the winners of its My Masterpiece contest. These four entries, chosen from more than 1,500 submissions, exemplify a mastery of yogurt flavor and topping combinations, delicious creativity, and can easily be recreated.
“We know our guests find inspiration in creating their own yogurt treat,” said Charlotte Lucich, director of marketing at Yogurtland. “My Masterpiece gave them a chance to share their creativity, and share they did. Choosing the winners was difficult, but these treats stood out above the rest.”
The winners include:
Double Cookies and Cream Cheesecake by Jeff Hand of Encino, CA who won free yogurt for a year as well as gift cards for his friends. His creation starts with a layer of graham cracker crumbs on the bottom, then a layer of Double Cookies & Cream yogurt generously sprinkled with crushed cookies and cream topping. A layer of New York Cheesecake yogurt is added to the creation, and all topped with white chocolate chips and a small pile of cookies and cream toppings in the center.
Melissa Jones of Anaheim, CA, won free yogurt for six months, and gift cards for her friends, for her Blueberry Cheesecake Enchantment, which begins with cinnamon graham cracker yogurt, layered with blueberry tart yogurt, then New York Cheesecake yogurt. The Blueberry Cheesecake Enchantment is topped with graham cracker crumbs, cheesecake bites, fresh blueberries and a small amount of slivered almonds, then finished with a drizzle of sweetened condensed milk.
Third place was a tie between Los Angeles resident Kelsey Olson and Monrovia, CA- resident Deborah Harris, who both won free yogurt for three months. Olson’s creation called Riding the Nom Nom Wave starts with Pistachio yogurt, layered with Chocolate Milkshake and then Toasted Coconut yogurt formed into the perfect crushing tip. It’s styled with red berries and macadamia chocolate crunch, and one courageous gummy bear riding the perfect Toasted Coconut wave.
Harris’ 3-½ Nutty and Cracked starts with a combination of Pistachio yogurt and Graham Cracker yogurt and then sprinkled with Butterfinger topping, almond slivers, cheesecake bites and chocolate pieces.
